Veuve Clicquot has taken over the terraces of popular hot spots all around the globe. The Brant in Nantucket has opened their Veuve Clicquot Terrasse where you can enjoy light bites and champagne. From June 5 to September 30, the iconic yellow of Veuve Clicquot will shine on the rooftop of Printemps. Veuve Clicquot’s Sun Club at Pesce Terrazza in Forte dei Marmi in Italy is set on the Tyrrhenian Sea.

In celebration of The Little Nell’s 35th anniversary, The Little Nell is collaborating with Dior and Dior Beauty to transform a handful of their spaces now through September 2. The same aquamarine Toile de Jouy Soleil from Dior’s Fall 2024 Dioriviera capsule collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri has transformed their spa and retail boutique, as well as their pool, hot tub cabana, living wall and gardens inspired by Christian Dior’s love of flowers.

• Frances (Opening): The Upper East Side now has a new rooftop! Frances, the new rooftop at Casa Cruz will feature Chef John Fraser’s light coastal Mediterranean menu prepared by Exec. Chef Emmanuel Niess. He will also be reimagining the culinary offerings throughout the House.

• Massara Osteria Campana (Opening): The team behind Rezdôra has opened Massara Osteria Campana, featuring food that is popular in Campania. There will be a pizza-tasting menu that includes a starter that’s been in owner Stefano Secchi’s family for 35 years, a “goat dinner”, and a selection of wine from Campania.

• Summer at Rockefeller Center’s Rink (Summer): The iconic Rink at Rockefeller Center has transformed into an open-air space anchored by outdoor seating and al fresco menus from NARO + Jupiter who have extended their footprints outdoors from May to October. 

• Pebble Bar (New): While at Rockefeller Center, join Pebble Bar for Martini Mondays, offering $12 martinis every Monday until Labor Day. 

• Castell (New): On the topic of martinis, every Tuesday Castell, the rooftop lounge atop the AC Hotel has launched ‘Tini Tuesdays, during which their most popular martinis - classic, dirty, and espresso - as well as Cosmopolitans and Manhattans - are just $9, all night long. Castell is also introducing a Dirty Caviar martini, a dirty martini which comes with blue cheese stuffed olives topped with caviar.

• Scarpetta’s Pasta Tasting Menu (New): Every Sunday and Monday at Scarpetta you can now enjoy four individually plated pastas followed by dessert, plus a complimentary glass of wine or 'La Dolce Vita' cocktail. The tasting menu is $140 for two and includes Ravioli Cacio e Pepe, Spaghetti, Tagliolini Nero, and Short Rib & Bone Marrow Agnolotti. 

• Emotions of the Sun, a Photo Exhibition by Veuve Clicquot (6/17 - 6/23): Veuve Clicquot and the Magnum Photos agency are teaming up to announce Emotions of the Sun, a touring photographic celebration of the Sun. For the first time, eight photographers present their responses to the same brief: a creative carte blanche to convey the emotions inspired in them by the Sun. They are also hosting free private conversations with Magnum Photographers on Tuesday and Thursday. Sign up for your free spot here.

• Drag Brunch + Trivia at Llama Inn (6/22): Queens Svetlana Stoli, Boyish Charm and Miss Bushwig 2019 Serena Tea are hosting a brunch with queer trivia alongside $40 3-course prix fixe and pitchers of Llama Inn's famously festive cocktails by bar director Natasha Bermudez. Greek-American Sellia Georges was born and raised in Chicago, growing up inside the restaurants that her family owned. Although she studied sociology & psychology in the UK, the restaurateur in her was stronger. She decided to open a restaurant in Oia, Santorini, where her ancestors were born. MIA’S restaurant is a concept that came alive during the pandemic and since then, MIA’S has become one of the most beloved restaurants in Oia, offering comforting yet elevated Greek cuisine through a modern, seasonal lens.

Tell us about yourself!

Although I was born inside my family’s restaurants, my interest had another focus, which was studying human behavior and the interaction between humans. After obtaining my Sociology BA & Psychology Master’s degree in London and working in this field for more than 7 years, my focus changed, and I decided to work in the family business. Being a restaurateur helped me find my purpose in life, and from 2009 until today I have created 2 different concepts in 2 different continents. Cupitol has evolved to 3 locations, all located in Chicago and MIA’S is located in beautiful Oia, Santorini. Every concept and its locations have a unique approach regarding its offering, products, operation, service, location and customers. As the Founder & Owner of both Cupitol & MIA’S, I have the opportunity to strategize in a different direction and create a unique offering for each one.

What inspires you to uncover more?

I enjoy being on the field, creating, implementing the concept that I have envisioned. Through my journeys and my restaurant experiences, I have ideas that shape the form of the next project. My approach in the restaurant field is holistic; I approach all the pieces as a whole: kitchen, service, environment, customer, trying to create the balance needed for the whole concept to interact flawlessly.

Where is your go-to spot when in NYC?

My go-to spot is Joseph Leonard at West Village! Best place for brunch, drinks or dinner. Amazing vibe, delicious food.

Is there a secret, local-only spot you can share?

Kali Kardia at the village Kandila in Arcadia is my favorite spot for local Greek food with flavors that remind me of my childhood. It’s a journey back to when I was a child whenever I visit this cozy taverna. It’s a family-owned inconspicuous restaurant, where the owner and his son start preparing fresh dishes daily at 5 am. In the middle of the Peloponnese, these gems have had a genuine, untouched hospitality since the 50’s. I try to take myself to these places whenever driving through Greece, as I believe these individuals working so hard for a family business are going extinct.

Where is your bucket-list destination? What makes you excited about visiting?

Since my main interest focuses on food and hospitality, my next bucket-list destination is the South of Spain. As a Mediterranean country, Spain is close to my Greek routes, but simultaneously is so different and unique. It’s no secret that Spanish cuisine is amongst the best in the world, and I would love to dive into the richness and flavors of its dishes. Additionally, Andalucia’s rich and fascinating culture is very intriguing, and to be able to explore both its food and culture is my next goal.
